To qualify to play in Big Game Sunday a member must have attended for more than half the season. In other words 14 times during a 26 week season.
The current League season will end on Thursday 2nd April 2026 with the top 24 in the League automatically qualifying for Big Game Sunday on Sunday 12th April provided that they have attended more than 13 times.
Four more members will also qualify through the play offs. Once again the attendance rule will apply.
To qualify for the play offs you must finish within 30 points of the number of points scored by the member who has finished 24th in the League. For example let’s assume Michael Smyth is currently in 24th place with 234 points. Therefore that means that as things stand at present if you have more than 204 points but less than 233 points you would qualify for the play offs.
The play offs will take place on Thursday 9th April as part of the normal Thursday night tournament. When you arrive you will draw your table as normal. Please remember that buy ins do not count for play off purposes but the top up does. So if you get knocked out you will be eliminated from the play offs but can buy back in and continue in the tournament as normal.
The 4 members who stay in the longest will qualify for Big Game Sunday.
It is important that you arrive on time. We appreciate that you can be delayed and if this is the case we must have prior notification. You will be put into the tournament as normal but will be eliminated from the play offs at 7.15 if you have not arrived. If you turn up after 7pm without prior notification you will be allowed to play in the tournament but will be eliminated from the play offs. We appreciate that this is severe but we must ensure fair play to the other members concerned. You have been warned!
